Storm damage / Damage Review Corporation

Your client hears "NO",
bring in Damage Review Corporation!

Roofers and restoration companies are often the first to find damage, while also the first to hear the insurance company say "NO".

That is the time to bring Damage Review Corporation into the conversation. We work alongside your team and advocate your customer throughout the entire claims process.

For roofers & restoration companies

The best time to bring in Damage Review Corporation is on day ONE!
The second best time is At The First "NO".

We respect the contractor's field of expertise, and the homeowner's choice of repair team. Our collaboration connects the work needed at the property, with a well supported insurance claim.

01

DAMAGE REVIEW CORPORATION

Policyholder Advocacy

We review the coverage offered in the policy, assemble the claim documentation, present to the carrier, and negotiate for the correct settlement entitled to.

03

Together

A clear path

Corroborate on the facts and keep the property owner informed about the repairs scope presented to the carrier, claim status, and next steps.

Our philosophy: Stop at the First "NO"!

The very first point of Resistance
is your CUE to bring in Damage Review Corporation

Our philosophy is simple:

The best time to involve a Public Adjuster is on day ONE; the second-best time is the first "NO". If the claim is already underway, the first point of resistance is your CUE to bring in Damage Review Corporation.

For Roofers and Restoration Companies, the real question is when the insurance claim has moved beyond what you should handle yourself, and who needs to take over?

Make the introduction at the very first point of resistance, so that your customer gains a dedicated claims advocate, and your team can focus on the repairs assessment.

01

RECOGNIZE

Recognize the very First "NO"!

Work scope disputes, Pricing disputes, Coverage pushback, and Payment delays, you feel it!

Rejected repair proposals and claim stalls.

These are all clear signs that the insurance carrier discussion needs professional intervention. You should not wait for that full or partial denial letter in order to bring on the Damage Review Corporation team.

02

RECORD and PRESERVE

Record and preserve claim documentation.

Hold on to all estimate versions, photos, reports, and correspondence. Record what claim components were refused, and why. Preserve all documentation collected and prepare the file for the handoff.

03

Involve

Introduce the claim to Damage Review Corporation.

With the insured's authorization, we will conduct full review of the insurance policy and claim documentation.

We will then identify what needs to be resolved, and discuss representation along with next steps.

The right professional for the task

Contractor Only? Public Adjuster? Insurance Claims Attorney?
Who should handle the claim?

A difficult claim can need more than one level of expertise. Identify the question being argued, then involve the professional equipped to handle it. Responsibilities depend on the engagement and applicable state insurance standards and practices.

Contractor

The property and the repair.

Inspect property conditions, document damages, explain materials and installation, prepare the construction work-scope, and perform the restoration work.

Public Adjuster

The documented insurance claim.

Advocate for the policyholder in evaluating the loss, reviewing applicable coverages, evaluate the claim, and negotiating the supported scope of repairs and settlement.

Insurance Attorney

Legal advice and legal action.

Advise the policyholder on their legal rights under the policy, legal disputes, and litigation when necessary. A Public Adjuster's claim work does not replace advice from a qualified Attorney.

How collaboration works

From the very first "NO",
to a fully supported claim package.

01

Make the introduction early.

We recommend involving a Public Adjuster from the beginning. If the carrier has already resisted, that first "NO", is your CUE: ask the property owner to contact Damage Review Corporation, or make a direct introduction. We review the available information and discuss how we can help.

02

Bring the evidence together.

Your team shares photographs, measurements, inspection findings, material information, and proposed repairs. Restoration teams also contribute available mitigation and drying records.

03

Understand the disagreement.

We compare the damages to the proposed work against the carrier's position. What are the issues at hand, coverage, work-scope, pricing, repairability, or missing documentation?

04

Present a well documented claim.

Damage Review Corporation prepares the claim presentation and handles claim communications within defined and regulated guidelines. Your team provides the construction and restoration reasoning supporting the proposed repairs needed.

05

Keep the client informed.

We communicate what was approved, what remains disputed, and what payment conditions are being applied to the claim. The property owner remains closely informed of the entire claims process throughout.

The homeowner stays at the center

Set clear expectations.

Damage Review Corporation's Public Adjusting contract is between Damage Review Corporation and the customer directly. The Construction or Restoration contract remains between the property owner and the contractor. With the customers authorization, we gather the claim documentation and manage the claim discussion.

We can NOT promise approval of every proposed item in the repairs estimate, we are not the insurance company. We assess the damages and review the insurance policy for relevant coverages, explain the disputed items, and pursue a supported outcome. This gives everyone a clearer understanding of what the claim documentation can, and still needs to establish.
